A score of 10 for rideability and perspective, 9.8 for trot, 9.5 for walk and canter. With 97.600%, Global Player 2022 won gold at the World Championships for six-year-old dressage horses in Ermelo/NED. He was ridden by Eva Möller/GER. The following year, Global Player won silver at the World Championships for seven-year-olds under Leonie Richter/GER. He again received top marks: 9.7 for trot (highest score of the day), 9.6 for walk and 9.4 for perspective. He is now ridden by Marie Sohler. She is a pupil of Jessica von Bredow-Werndl. This combination quickly achieved great success, culminating the 2024 European Championships for Juniors in Opglabbeek (BEL) where they won gold with the German Team, silver individually, and then gold in the Freestyle.
Global Player was Oldenburg and Danish Champion Stallion, second stallion performance test Reserve Champion, Vice National and State Champion as well as fourth in the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses (5yo). He sired several licensed and premium sons from his very first crops, including the reigning national and Hanoverian champion Global Hope.
Through his sire Kastel's Grand Galaxy Win and his dam, the Don Schufro daughter Chatel's Schurana, as well as the half-thoroughbred Rawage Quintus (by Age xx) in the third generation and the Trakehner Donauwind in the fourth generation, the noblest performance lines of all are combined in his pedigree.
The sire Kastel's Grand Galaxy Win is himself is a son of the World Cup eighth-placed Apache/Emmelie Scholtens/NED out of a Jazz dam. He was Danish Champion Stallion in 2014, Danish Vice Dressage Horse Champion in 2015 and placed in the final of the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses (5-year-olds) in 2016. He placed in the international small tour under Charlotte Jorst/USA. More than 15 sons have been licensed, the premium stallions Hesselhøj Gnags and Giovanny-Bell and the second reserve winner of the Oldenburg main premium, Galaxy. The offspring have already placed internationally, including Got It BB/Jessica von Bredow-Werndl/GER, Grand Galiano/Rikke Dupont/DEN, JJ Glory Day/Marcus Orlob/USA, Logo's Gaya/Emma Ahlberg/DEN, Lennox U.S./Jill Borges/NED, Highfive Fuglsang/Anders Uve Sjøbeck Hoeck/DEN and Abtwald's Götterfunke/Warwick McLean/AUS.
The dam Chatel's Schurana received a silver medal in her test and took part in the 2007 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden for Denmark. She was subsequently used for breeding.
The dam's sire Don Schufro was Danish Champion under Andreas Helgstrand/DEN. He won team bronze at the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong/HKG. He sired numerous successful horses: such as the Olympic gold medallist and World Cup winner and European Champion Weihegold OLD/Isabell Werth. The Danish half-thoroughbred Rawage Quintus (by Age xx) is third in the pedigree. The Trakehner Donauwind is considered by experts to be one of the best sires of the post-war period. He was first in Denmark and then in the USA. He produced the Olympic and World Cup winner in show jumping, Abdullah, and the dressage Grand Prix horse Fabian.
Originally Hanoverian mare line by Williswinda, which also produced the internationally successful dressage horses Happiness/Isabella Tovek/SWE, Don Corleone/Kathleen Muhr/GER, Radcliffe/Agnete Berger/DEN, Macao/Elizabeth Bortuzzo/USA, Alion/Juan Manuel Vidal/ESP and Angelo/Markus Jungwirth as well as various licensed stallions.
