Supplies Grand Prix horses
The elite stallion Franklin has had an impeccable career: KWPN Champion Stallion, winner of the stallion performance test in the Netherlands, finalist at the World Breeding Dressage Championship for Young Horses, and successful in the international Small Tour. Under Malin Wahlkamp-Nilsson/SWE, he placed in the Grand Prix arena. His first offspring have also reached the highest level of dressage, including Reserve Champion Kadans/Andreas Helgstrand/DEN and the also licensed Kaliber/Andrea Woodard/USA. Franklin's more than 20 licensed sons also include the Inter I-placed Fusionist/Martin Christensen/DEN, the Reserve Champion Stallion Franklin's Love PS, who has been successful in medium-level dressage, and the Swedish stallion performance test winner Knockando VH. The Louisdor Prize winner, winner of the Aachen Nations Cup, German Vice Champion and Olympic reserve Fendi/Sönke Rothenberger stands out from the crowd of athletic offspring. Also successful are the internationally Inter I-placed Elektra di Fonte Abeti/Juliette Ramel/SWE, the European Youth Team Bronze Medal winner Finale Melody/Julie Dam Jensen/DEN, the DJM fourth-placed Francis Drake OLD/Martha Raupach, and Straight Horse Floriana and Ferdinand De Fontaine, who placed at World Breeding Dressage Championship for Young Horses.
Franklin's daughter Faretti was awarded the gold medal at the Elite Mare Show in Denmark. Faretti was the best DWB dressage filly and was sold at the Nordic International Sales Auction for a sensational price of €150,000. Her full sister Faretti II was the top seller the following year. In 2020, the filly Fascination sold for €60,000 at the Schockemöhle Helgstrand Online Foal Auction. The title of best filly went to Franklin's daughter Francisca Lightfoot in 2016 and to her paternal sister Vilard's Fina in 2021.
Her sire Ampère is currently ranked eleventh in the WBFSH ranking of the world's best dressage sires. He himself was a KWPN Champion Stallion and sired over 60 licensed sons.
Franklin's pedigree features highly interesting lines back to the legendary stallions Ferro and Flemmingh.
