Third in the Dressage World Breeding Championship four year-old final
"An exceptionally talented and extremely elastic stallion," commented the jury, summing up their impressions of the four-year-old competitor in the Dressage World Breeding Dressage Championship for Young Horses final, where Elastic once again lived up to his name with Maxi Kira von Platen in the saddle. 8.8 was awarded for his light-footed trot with excellent overtracking, 8.0 for his very rhythmic walk, 8.4 for his very powerful canter and 8.5 for both scope and potential, adding up to a final score of 84.40 percent and third place, followed by first placings in elementary (L) level dressage tests for young horses. As a three-year-old, Elastic made a name for himself by winning gold at the Westphalian championship and then silver at the Bundeschampionat with a 9.0.
Elastic's first crop of foals impressed in every respect and attracted the interest of many talent scouts.
His sire Escolar is the talk of the breeding world after reviving the almost forgotten but extremely valuable bloodline of Ehrensold and Ehrentusch. He and Hubertus Schmidt were part of the German Olympic squad and placed several times at German Championships. He was national riding horse champion as a three and four-year-old and came second in the final of the Nuremberg Burg-Pokal series as an eight-year-old. More than 50 sons have been licensed, including our World Championship silver and bronze winner, Burg-Pokal finalist and Inter II-winner Escamillo. His offspring have already been successful at Grand Prix level, include the two-times European Youth Champion Espe with Annabella Pidgley/GBR, Bundeschampion and Dressage World Breeding Championship for Young Horses bronze medalist Eternity and the European Youth Team Champion ZINQ Emma FH/Lana-Pinou Baumgürtel.
The dam Diva de Luxe, herself full sister to licensed stallion Dynasty VDL, also produced the Westphalian premium stallion Voice of Germany (by Vitalis).
The dam’s sire Dimaggio placed fourth in the 1999 National Riding Horse Championships and became world champion of five-year-old dressage horses in Arnheim/NED in 2000. He went on to compete at Inter I level. His most successful offspring include the World Championship team bronze winner Duke of Britain FRH/Frederic Wandres, Discovery OLD/Heiner Schiergen and the team runner-up World Champion Half Moon Delphi/Michael George Eilberg/GBR.
Wolkentanz II and Corde can be found in the third generation of the pedigree.
Great granddam Annika is also the great granddam of Stanley W (by Stedinger)/Charlotte Lenherr, who have been placed in World Cup freestyle classes.
