Premium stallion with top performance test
Zarenball, acclaimed Premium Stallion at the Oldenburg licensing, has now also demonstrated his special status under the saddle of his trainer Lukas Fischer. He was awarded the highest marks at his short test in Vechta. He received the score of 9.5 for his willingness to perform, 9.0 for rideability, 8.8 for trot, 8.7 for walk and 8.5 for canter. With an overall score of 8.5, he was amongst the best of a strong field. For his competition debut, he came second with an overall score of 8.4 and was also highly placed at the Oldenburg Championships with a score of 8.2.
We are eagerly awaiting this elite black stallion’s first crop of foals.
His sire, Zenon VDL, is a grandson of the influential stallion Zack/Nanna Skodborg Merrald/DEN, placed eighth at the World Championships, via his sire, the Team Vice European Champion Zonik/Edward Gal/NED. He came third at his stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf with high individual marks and 8.66 overall. With the young rider Julia Watzek, he recorded serial victories up to intermediate (M**) level dressage competitions and won the silver medal at the Oldenburg Championships. Zenon made his debut at high level with Isabel Freese/NOR in 2023 and won with over 72 percent. Several of his sons were licensed, including another premium stallion, Zeitlos PS.
His dam’s sire, Fürstenball, was Champion of the Oldenburg licensing, Champion of his stallion performance test, Oldenburg main premium winner, German and Oldenburg Regional Champion, finalist at the World Championships, victorious up to Prix St. Georges level, VTV dressage stallion, number one of the FN breeding valuation, Danish Elite Stallion and Stallion of the Year in Denmark. He is currently placed 14th in the WBFSH ranking of the world’s best dressage sires. He has produced numerous offspring who are successful in Grand Prix, amongst whom Heiline’s Danciera/Carina Cassøe Krüth/DEN, World Champion by team, placed fourth by team and seventh individually at the Olympics and team bronze medallist at the European Championships, particularly stands out. The five German Champions, Fürsten-Look, Festina PS, Fior, Feingefühl and Feine Bella appear amongst his offspring who are successful in championships. Fürsten-Look, Champion stallion and one of almost 100 licensed sons of Fürstenball, took third place in the Burg Cup final with Isabel Freese/NOR. He has produced around 300 premium daughters, amongst whom the two Oldenburg Champion Mares Fiesta Danza OLD and Fünf Sterne as well as the Hanoverian Champion Mare Fine Lady particularly stand out.
His grand-dam, Layla, is also the dam of Felaini S (by For Dance), who is victorious in competitions for young dressage horses with Florine Kienbaum.
The breeding heroes Londonderry and Werther complete the pedigree.
His great-grand-dam, Weserkrone, was victorious in competitions for young riding horses. She produced the advanced (S) level dressage horse Princeton/Friederike Tebbel and Prinz Prieur (both by Prince Thatch xx), who was placed up to Inter I.
The Olympic horses Federleicht (by Federgeist xx)/Robert Dover/USA in dressage and FRH Little Lemon (by Lemon xx)/Andreas Dibowski in eventing as well as the licensed stallions Colugar (by Codex One)/Tobias Meyer (1.45m show jumping), Lassico (by Lambourghini), Weltprinz (by Weltadel I), Sam Steele (by Sherlock Holmes), Magic (by Matcho AA), Rio’s Filius W (by Rio Grande), Anschluss (by Absatz), Gin Fizz (by Gimpel), Quater Star (by Quaterhall), Entertainment (by Espri), O’Connor TN (by Ogano Sitte) and Waldhüter (by Waldhorn) also descend from the Lobelle line.
