2021 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year
Here he is! The outstanding sire Fidertanz is currently placed 13th in the prestigious WBFSH ranking of the best dressage stallions in the world. This is a brief summary of the career of this model pupil: Champion stallion at the NRW licensing in Münster in 2004, winner of his stallion performance test with top scores in Neustadt/D. in 2005, Vice German Champion in Warendorf with Maike Löer/GER in 2005, Oldenburg main premium winner in 2006, first advanced (S) level successes up to St. Georges with Vera Nass/GER in 2010, placings up to Inter I with Markus Gribbe/GER in 2011, victories and placings up to international Grand Prix with António Do Vale/POR from 2013, Hanoverian Stallion of the Year in 2021, seventh place in the WBFSH dressage sire ranking and 24th place amongst the eventing sires in 2022.
Over 70 of his sons have been licensed, including Franziskus FRH/Ingrid Klimke/GER, World Championship team bronze medallist and placed fourth in the World Cup, Tannenhof’s Fahrenheit/Anja Plönzke/GER, victorious in Grand Prix Freestyle, Foundation/Matthias Alexander Rath/GER, victorious in the Nations Cup, as well as Fiderdance/Simone Pearce/GER, World Championship participant and placed seventh in the World Cup.
Fidertraum OLD/Florian Bacher/AUT, Finnländerin/Madeleine Witte-Vrees/NED, Crystal Friendship/Anabel Balkenhol/GER, Elfentanz/Monica Burssens/MEX, Forrest Gump/Ema Kopuleta/CZE, Fiderflame/Ariana Chia/CAN, Faro SQF/Nora Batchelder/USA, Fortuna/Filipe Canelas/POR, Fiderprincess/Jeroen Devroe/BEL and Fabious/Semih Hamdi Ersoy/TUR were all successful in the Grand Prix arenas at the Olympic Games, World and European Championships. Flamboyant OLD/Valentina Pistner/GER won eleven medals at the European Youth Championships, including three gold medals.
In eventing, the 2021 Tokyo Olympian, Flandia, and the two participants in the 2022 World Championships in Pratoni-Roma, Fifty Fifty/Patrick Rüegg/SUI and Fallulah/Padraid McCarthy/IRL, should be mentioned. Fairytale (dam by Laurentianer) won two team gold medals with Anna Lena Schaaf/GER at the European Youth Championships in Maarsbergen/NED in 2019 and in Segeresjö/SWE in 2021 and also secured individual gold and silver medals. The pair was already team bronze medallist at the European Championships in Fontainebleau/FRA in 2018. They also recorded victories up to CCI4*. And then there is Finest Fellow/Elena Otto-Erlay/GER and the European Youth Championship participant Feuertänzer/Friedrich-Bernd Rehkamp/GER.
The prize money of Fidertanz’s offspring registered in Germany alone amounts to 1.42 million euros.
His sire, Fidermark, was Reserve Champion at the NRW licensing in 1994 and won his stallion performance test in Warendorf in 1995 with an index of 141.74 points. Standing at the NRW State Stud, he was German Champion of four-year-old stallions with Michael Farwick. With Marlies Van Baalen/NED, he qualified for the final of the Nuremberg Burg Cup and was trained up to Grand Prix level. The most important offspring of Fidermark include Favourit/Sönke Rothenberger, Florida/Nadine Husenbeth and Forward Looking/Dorothee Schneider.
Fidertanz’s half brother, San Ravallo (by San Amour I), is internationally successful in the U25 Tour with Carl-Lennart Korsch/SUI. In 2023, the pair took part in the European Championships in Budapest/HUN. His half sister Querida Mia FRH (by Quantenkönig) won international Small Tour competitions with Lukas Fischer/GER, and his half brother Berney (by Boston) is successful up to Inter II.
His dam, Reine Freude, also produced the advanced (S) level dressage horse Bogner (by Belantis I) and the intermediate (M) level show jumping horse Calua (by Cordino). Her daughters have produced six licensed stallions so far: Sansiera (by Sandro Hit) produced the two stallions Quanticus (by Quaterback) and Elité A (by Escamillo), Amore Mia (by Ampere) produced the stallions Bel Amour (by Belantis I) and Escamour (by Escamillo), Quintera (by Quaterback) is the dam of the stallion Equalizer B (by Escamillo), and Vaiana (by Veneno) produced the premium stallion Escaneno (by Escamillo).
His grand-dam, Frühlingssonne, produced the two licensed stallions Disconto (by Diamantino) and Fanconi (by Fuchsberger) as well as the advanced (S) level show jumping horse Penny Lane (by Polydor) and other intermediate (M) level dressage and show jumping horses.
His great-grand-dam, Romana, is the dam of the two licensed stallions Frederiko (by Furioso II) and Paradiso (by Pilot).
The stallion Edge of Glory (by Escamillo) and the Grand Prix dressage horse Corlander II (by Cordino)/Ari Lopez/USA also descend from the Hanoverian dam line of Jucking.
