Transmits his fantastic paces to his offspring
Donier has produced licensed stallions, highly successful young sport horses, including the Dobrock finalist Double Agent Dobby/Tessa Frank, and highly-priced foals. Donier has therefore already made a name for himself as an extremely valuable sire. He completed his stallion performance test in Schlieckau in the top group, with the expected high scores for basic paces, willingness to perform and overall impression (9.0 each).
His sire, De Niro, successful at Grand Prix level at the age of eight and winner of the Dressage Derby in Hamburg with riding master Dolf-Dietram Keller, led the WBFSH ranking list of the best dressage sires worldwide for six years. There are no championships in which his offspring, including Desperados FRH/Kristina Bröring-Sprehe/GER, Dablino/Anabel Balkenhol/GER, D’Agostino FRH/Fabienne Müller-Lütkemeier/GER, Delgado/Beatriz Ferrer-Salat/ESP, Voice/Edward Gal/NED, Deep Impact/Severo Jurado Lopez/ESP and Darco of De Niro ZS CH/Charlotte Lenherr/SUI, do not fight for medals. Over 260 advanced (S) level horses are registered in Germany alone and have won over 3.4 million euros in prize money for their father. With over 100 licensed sons, the 2008 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year has a lasting influence on breeding.
His dam, Thery, was placed in young dressage horse competitions under her sport name Toto Chanel and also produced the Ib main premium winner Fürst Toto (by Fürstenball). Her daughter Fairytale PS (by Fürstenball) produced our two stallions Fair Deal (by Franklin) and Escanto PS (by Escamillo). The former was bronze medallist at the Oldenburg Regional Championships and won a series of competitions for young dressage horses, while the latter won his two performance tests - both with record scores and went on to become German and Oldenburg Regional Champion.
His dam’s sire, Totilas, won double gold at the European Championships in Windsor/GBR in 2009 and triple gold at the World Equestrian Games in Lexington/USA in 2010. In 2010, he also won the World Cup final in ’s-Hertogenbosch/NED. Several times he set new records in Grand Prix.
His grand-dam, Lasira, is the half sister of Lord Schufro OLD (by L’Espoir), licensed stallion, Oldenburg Reserve Champion and placed twice at the German Championships, and of the premium stallion Fürsten Hit (by Fürstenball). Lasira produced a licensed stallion by Foundation. Her daughters Disney’s Dory (by Desperando) and Gallery (by Governor)/Andrea Timpe celebrated successes at high level. Gallery’s son Sergeant PS (by Sir Donnerhall I) was licensed in Mecklenburg and was the top price of 114,000 euros at the Schockemöhle Online Auction.
The half-blood Londonderry in the third generation was Champion of his licensing in 1997, German Champion in 1999 and “Hanoverian Stallion of the Year” in 2013. He ensured the sustainable spreading of the valuable noble blood of his sire Lauries Crusador xx.
His great-grand-dam, Sunny-Girl, is the full sister of the sire who was successful at advanced (S) level, Sunny-Boy (by Sandro Hit). Her grand-dam Fiesta produced the famous stallion Don Schufro/Andreas Helgstrand/DEN, team bronze medallist at the Olympics.
