The name says it all

Cadence, shoulder freedom, leverage, back action, flow – everything is optimal and always performed with spirit and presence. Souverain was one of the absolute highlights of the KWPN licensing in 's-Hertogenbosch/NED. He was celebrated accordingly by the audience. 

His sire, the three-time World Breeding Dressage Champion for Young Horses Sezuan, catapulted himself to 16th place in the WBFSH ranking of the world's best dressage sires as the youngest stallion.

His dam Passionata was successful in the Small Tour under Karolien van den Brandt/BEL. She is half-sister to the licensed Grand Prix stallion Razotti (by Romanov)/Julia Groenhart/NED. She herself produced the licensed Quazotti (by Quaterback), who won international dressage horse competitions under Naoufal Hassani/MAR, competed in the World Breeding Dressage Championship for six-year-olds and subsequently started in the international Small Tour. Her daughter Orange (by Vitalis), who was successful in medium level dressage tests, produced the licensed stallion Salvation ES (by Bloomberg).

Her granddam Ariane's Pappion competed internationally in the Small Tour with Shane de Ben/BEL.
