Amongst the top ten in the WBFSH ranking of the best dressage sires worldwide
As topical as ever - the fascination with Sir Donnerhall I continues and he is once again one of the world's most successful dressage sires according to the ranking of the World Breeding Federation WBFSH. He has produced over 70 horses that are successful in Grand Prix, including Sir Caramello OLD/Anush Agarwalla/IND and Samhitas/Kelly Layne/AUS, who took part in the Olympic Games, Valentine/Ashley Holzer/USA and Willingapark Sky Diamond/Jayden Brown/AUS, who took part in the World Championships, Santiago Song/Thibault Vandenberghe/BEL and Sangraal/Stella Hagelstam/FIN, who took part in the European Championships, Serenade MF/Alice Tarjan/USA, Valentine/Ashley Holzer/USA and Syriana/Jessica Dertell/AUS who were successful in World Cup freestyles, and Siebenstein/Mirelle van Kemenade-Witlox/NED, who was placed in Nations Cups. Sir Hohenstein/Bianca Nowag/GER won team gold and silver in the freestyle at the European Championships for U25 Grand Prix Riders in Marignano/ITA.
Again and again Sir Donnerhall I has set unique records with his heredity. In addition to Special Diva OLD (2014) and Smirnoff (2016), their full siblings Cindy OLD (2013), Sir Heinrich (2014), Candy OLD (2017), Caty OLD (2018) and Casey OLD (2020) won gold medals at the German Championships. Candy OLD and Casey OLD were also Oldenburg Champion Mares and thus lead the crowd of over 420 award winning daughters of Sir Donnerhall I. Candy OLD also won the bronze medal at the World Championships for young dressage horses (5y.o.). Sa Coeur became double World Champion, price highlight of the P.S.I. Auction, with a knockdown price of 2.31 million euros and has been placed in international Grand Prix competitions. He is only one of the many auction price record holders by Sir Donnerhall I.
He has produced over 100 licensed stallions, including numerous champion and premium stallions as well as Sir Olli/Enrique Cruces Fernandez/ESP, bronze medallist at the World Championships for young dressage horses and successful in Grand Prix.
Many of Sir Donnerhall I’s daughters have produced stallions, as can be seen with our Champion Stallions Dynamic Dream and Viva Romance PS, the Reserve Champion So Perfect, Golden Romance Malleret PS, who came fifth in the Burg Cup and who is victorious in Inter II, and Glock's Total U.S./Edward Gal/NED, who came fifth at the Olympics.
