2025 Oldenburg Champion Stallion
“A stallion in rectangular format, with a big frame, excellently muscled and with well-formed hocks. Completely balanced and relaxed in movement. He uses his whole body and also has big paces. The excellent walk should also be emphasized: always in rhythm and with plenty of ground cover. And the stallion looks smart and willing to work," commented Oldenburg's breeding director Peer Eitenmüller on behalf of the licensing committee, which selected the public's favourite of the 2025 Oldenburg licensing, our La Paix, as the winning stallion. A look at the pedigree completes this grandiose debut, as La Paix is the half brother of the 2015 Oldenburg Champion Stallion, Bonds.
His sire La Vie qualified for the Nuremberg Burg Cup Final with Therese Nilshagen/SWE with over 75 percent and made his debut in the international Small Tour at the CHIO Aachen with third place in the Inter I (73.441 percent). As a five and six-year-old, he secured his ticket for the German Championships, having previously passed his sport test in Verden with high scores (8.44). His daughter London Eye won the gold medal at the German Championships and the bronze medal at the Hanoverian Championships in 2024. La Bonheur and La Memoria secured the silver and bronze medals in Verden. Luton was licensed. La Vie's daughter Elsa came sixth in the German Elite Mare Championships, and Sun La Vie reached the Oldenburg “Brillantring”.
His dam El.St. Rioja also produced the aforementioned champion stallion Bonds (by Benicio), double stallion performance test winner and successful at advanced (S) level. His full brother Brighton OLD (by Benicio) won the silver medal at the German Riding Horse Championships and the bronze medal at the Oldenburg Regional Championships. Since then, he has been successful in intermediate (M*) level competitions. Lloris, La Paix’s full brother, is victorious in competitions for young dressage horses with his breeder's daughter Clara Paschertz/GER.
The dam sire Sir Donnerhall I has already earned the status of "trademark stallion". Himself placed third at his licensing, Regional Champion, record winner of his stallion performance test, Vice World Champion of young dressage horses, German Champion and winner of the main premium, he can refer to over 100 licensed sons.
