Champion Stallion, Vice Bundeschampion, State Champion, Reserve Champion in the Stallion Performance Test
It was the year of La Paix. The Oldenburg Champion Stallion now also demonstrated absolute superiority under saddle. He received the dream score of 10 for rideability at the Oldenburg Championship for three-year-olds. With his basic gaits of walk, trot, and canter rated between 8.5 and 9.5, he was in a league of his own. At the Bundeschampionat, he once again thrilled the crowd under his rider Vanessa Crnadak. "This stallion is significant in terms of his gender type and body parts. And that also applies to the quality of his movements. Very confident in trot, very light-footed, with beautiful shoulder freedom. And that's on both hands evenly and also in the turns. In canter with a clear uphill tendency, with expression, self-confidence, beautiful unity, beautiful side profile, and that with a lot of engagement from behind. He is diligent in his walk and moves through his body. In terms of rideability, he is very well matched with his rider. He is fully focused, willing to perform, and clearly conveys a good seat and riding feel," commented the judges in Warendorf/GER, awarding individual scores of up to 9.5 (canter). An overall score of 8.8 meant silver. Finally, La Paix also made a strong impression at his stallion performance test in Denmark. He received the highest test score of 9.5 for his canter and, with 892.0 points, was only beaten by his stallion neighbor Daan G.
His sire La Vie qualified for the Nuremberg Burg Cup Final under Therese Nilshagen/SWE with over 75 percent. In the international Small Tour, he placed third in the Inter I (73.441 percent) at the CHIO Aachen, among other competitions.
His dam Rioja also produced the Oldenburg Champion Stallion, two-time stallion performance test winner and advanced-level dressage horse Bonds (by Benicio). His full brother Brighton OLD (by Benicio) won silver at the Riding Horse Bundeschampionat and bronze at the Oldenburg State Championships. Philipp Hess has now racked up a series of victories up to medium-level dressage tests. La Paix's full brother, Lloris, won the Oldenburg Junior Championships with breeder's daughter Clara Paschertz.
