An exciting young stallion, who moves with fantastic balance, action, and push
Kardieno is an exciting stallion that moves with fantastic balance, action, and push. This stallion provides a glimpse into the genetic future, where the combination with, among others, Dutch Gelder bloodlines can be crucial for breeding progress.
Kardieno was licensed by the KWPN in 2018 and impressed the spectators once again at the KWPN Stallion Show in 2019, where his high-set neck, elegance, and sublime push were highlighted. In 2018, he completed his 50-day test in the Netherlands, receiving 8 for walk, 8.5 for trot, canter, willingness to perform, and dressage character.
Kardieno was a dominant winner of the Danish Equestrian Federation's qualification for 4-year-old horses in Bogø 2019, where Kardieno and Thomas Sigtenbjerggaard achieved incredibly high scores. The pair was awarded 9.3 for trot and a perfect 10 for canter, and with a score of 9.5 for perspective, they advanced to the championship final in 2019. In the championship final in the fall of 2019, Kardieno convincingly won the 4-year-old class. Kardieno demonstrated both rideability and perspective, securing a total score of 9.22 and ensuring victory in the class.
His sire, Dante Weltino, qualified for the prestigious German Bundeschampionat as a 5-year-old and 6-year-old with Therese Nilshagen in the saddle. Already at the age of 7, Dante Weltino made his debut in S-level dressage, and he won his first Grand Prix at only 8 years old. Since then, the pair has achieved numerous victories and placings at the international Grand Prix level, including highlights such as team bronze at the European Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 2017 and an Olympic qualification.
His dam, Vidieni, was the best filly in the KWPN Gelder foal championship. As a 3-year-old, she performed exceptionally well in her riding test, and as an 8-year-old, she competed at M-level dressage and jumped 130cm classes in show jumping. As a broodmare, she has also excelled, as several of her daughters compete in dressage at PSG level.
His Dam's sire is the Gelder stallion Parcival, who competed at Inter-I level, and 18% of his offspring compete in dressage at elementary (L) level or higher. Unfortunately, he passed away at a too young age but had already shown his great talent for dressage.
Kardieno is not on the Danish Warmblood (DV) stallion list, so an application must be submitted to DV for the use of the stallion. For further information, please contact Lene Birkemose at +45 22 57 44 11 or stallion@helgstranddressage.dk.
