Helgstrand welcomes Oliver Luze as new Manager at Helgstrand Academy

January 5. 2025

We are excited to announce the newest member of our management team: Oliver Luze!

This new addition to the Helgstrand team will greatly benefit our riders, as Oliver brings extensive experience in training horses and teaching students, from Young Horse to Grand Prix levels on the international stage.

Oliver Luze has been part of the auction team in Oldenburg, Germany, serving as the auction team leader and training lead for the stallion performance test managed by the Oldenburg Breeding Association in California, U.S.

After his time in the U.S., Oliver returned to Germany in 1995, where he worked as a rider and manager in various stables. He achieved great success as a rider and manager at Tannenhof, where he trained and competed with numerous stallions at the highest levels. One of his most notable successes was with Carabas, Andreas Helgstrand’s former Grand Prix horse. Together, they won the Small Final at the World Championships for 6-year-old horses, placed second at the prestigious Dressage Derby in Hamburg, won the Medien Cup Finals for upcoming Grand Prix horses in Donaueschingen and later achieved great success at Grand Prix level.

In recent years, Oliver has worked as a manager and dressage trainer, latest at Erdbeerhof.

I am extremely proud to welcome Oliver to our team. I have known Oliver for many years, and based on that experience, and his knowledge of working in big stables, I am confident that we have found the right person to take on the role as Manager and Trainer at the Academy. His expertise in training riders and horses at all levels makes him a perfect fit for this role” says Andreas Helgstrand.

We look forward to welcoming Oliver on the 1st of February.
