Helgstrand Dressage USA, Appoints Micha Knol as Head of Sales USA

 

Helgstrand Dressage is pleased to announce that, as of January 2026, it is expanding its presence in the U.S. market with a strengthened focus on the sale of dressage horses. Micha Knol has been appointed Head of Sales USA.

 

The U.S. market has long been a key and strategic focus for Helgstrand Dressage. The company already operates a well-established sales and training facility in Wellington, Florida, located at the beautiful Eagle Three Farm, under the leadership of Olympic rider Lars Petersen and his wife Melissa Taylor.

 

With a fully booked stable and a high level of training activity, Helgstrand Dressage saw a clear need to strengthen its sales team with a dedicated professional to manage and drive sales efforts in the U.S. market. That role is now filled by Micha Knol, a long-time and highly valued partner of Helgstrand Dressage.

 

Originally from the Netherlands, Knol combines elite dressage experience with a strong business background. Since relocating to Florida in 2015, he has trained and competed horses up to Grand Prix level and earned his USDF Silver and Gold Medals.

 

Before fully transitioning to the equestrian industry, Knol held a senior management position at ABN AMRO Bank, one of the Netherlands’ largest financial institutions. He later co-founded MRK Dressage, building a successful international business specializing in sourcing and selling top-quality dressage horses.

 

Now based in Wellington, Florida, Knol is widely respected as a trusted buyer’s agent and is known for creating strong, long-lasting horse-and-rider partnerships, including multiple championship and U.S. team combinations. In his new role at Helgstrand Dressage USA, he will focus on guiding riders and horse owners in selecting the perfect dressage horses.

 

2026 promises to be an exciting year for Helgstrand Dressage, with major developments in the U.S. market, a new initiative in China, and the expansion of Helgstrand Germany in connection with its relocation to Isabel Werth.
