Helgstrand Dressage Germany to Relocate to Isabel Werth's Facilities from January 1, 2026

August 7. 2025

Press release

Date: August 7, 2025

Helgstrand Dressage is proud to announce that, effective January 1, 2026, Helgstrand Dressage Germany will move its operations to the world’s most successful dressage rider, Isabell Werth. The long-standing and valued collaboration with Paul Schockemöhle will continue unchanged.

Over the past several years, Helgstrand Dressage Germany has been based at the prestigious Gestüt Famos, which was sold in 2024 to stallion owner Maik Kanitzky. Under the expert leadership of Dr. Ulf Möller, the German division has achieved outstanding results - both in sport and in horse development.

Dr. Ulf Möller will continue as a valued part of the Helgstrand team, serving as scout, trainer, and international representative to our clients worldwide.

“We are pleased to continue benefiting from Ulf’s wide-ranging experience and deep expertise. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Ulf and the entire team for our highly successful years at Gestüt Famos. Several team members will continue in the new setup,” says Andreas Helgstrand.

In connection with the new partnership, Isabell Werth is currently developing state-of-the-art facilities that include modern offices, an EU-approved stallion station, stabling, and expanded training areas for both breeding stallions and sport horses. Helgstrand Dressage Germany will lease space at these facilities, where Isabel Werth will oversee the staff and take responsibility for the training and development of the horses.

“This extension of our collaboration with Isabell Werth is a dream come true. She is not only a living legend in the sport, but also one of the most professional and respected figures in the entire equestrian world. With this new setup, we are ensuring world-class conditions for the development and performance of our horses,” says Andreas Helgstrand.

Isabel Werth adds:

“I am truly looking forward to this partnership with Helgstrand Dressage and to welcoming both stallions and sales horses into our home. Together, we aim to raise the bar for quality in training and create optimal conditions for the horses both in breeding and sport.”

The partnership with Paul Schockemöhle regarding the sale and distribution of stallion semen remains unchanged. The goal continues to be providing breeders - particularly in Germany - with easy access to some of the world’s most outstanding stallions. Although the stallions will move from Gestüt Famos to Isabell Werth’s facilities, the professional semen distribution will remain under Paul Schockemöhle’s proven system and do to the very good partnership for many years now, this will of cause remains the same.

As this exciting new chapter begins, we wish to sincerely thank all the dedicated persons who have contributed to the success of Helgstrand Dressage Germany to date. We look forward to continuing and strengthening our presence in the world’s leading equestrian nation - Germany.

Helgstrand Dressage is part of Global Equestrian Group, which also includes Patrik Kittel’s Outstanding Stables, Ludger Beerbaum Stables, Riesenbeck International, Danish Christmas Show, World Cup Herning and Kingsland Equestrian.
