Last week, the U.S. Festival of Champions took place in Wayne, Illinois – one of the biggest events of the year on the American dressage scene. The show gathered some of the country’s top combinations, and several former Helgstrand horses stood out with excellent results and impressive performances.
In the 7-year-old Championship, victory went to Katie Duerrhammer and Rosebank VH (Revolution – Dalwhinnie), who delivered a ride of no less than 82.815%. The pair even received a 10 for trot. In a strong fourth place came Roberto de Fontaine ridden by Andrea Woodard, finishing on 75.100%.
There was also Helgstrand success in the Developing Prix St. Georges. Here, Adrienne Lyle secured the U.S. champion title with Hussmann’s Topgun, after the pair achieved a score of 73.425%. The runner-up position went to MSJ For VIPs, ridden by Rebecca Rigdon, who scored 69.398%.
In the prestigious Championship Grand Prix Freestyle, Meagan Davis and Toronto Lightfoot impressed with a harmonious program that earned them 72.595%. This secured them a fine second place and the reserve champion title.
We extend our warmest congratulations to all the riders and their teams for these fantastic results and look forward to following their continued journey on the international dressage scene.
