There was a close battle for the placings in the 6-year-old championship final, where Dizzy and Marita Hagren, as well as Flirtfaktor and Annabella Pidgley, competed.
Dizzy won the 6-year-old championship
Expectations were still high for Dizzy (Hesselhøj Donkey Boy / Blue Hors Zack) and Marita following the pair's 2nd-place finish at the World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses (WBYH) earlier in the year, and with the victory in the championship, the combination secured yet another major triumph in their 6-year-old season.
Dizzy won with 87.000 points – just 0.571 points ahead of second place – backed by great marks for a very harmonious test. "Presented in a very nice way - with very good harmony" the judges noted.
”The trot is light-footed, very elegant, and easy going. The extensions are ground-covering and always maintain good cadence and rhythm. The walk is active and ground-covering. The walk pirouettes were particularly lovely – small with good rhythm and activity – good walk quality. The canter is light-footed and easy going – it looks so easy! Good walk pirouettes and flying changes. This is a quality horse with three great gaits and easy going. We really liked the way you presented her.”

6th place for Flirtfaktor & Annabella Pidgley – 81.857
Flirtfaktor (Fürst Samarant / Sir Donnerhall I) scored 81.857%, securing a 6th place in today's strong field. He was a little impressed by the arena, but Annabella received great praise for how she handled the young horse. "A real quality horse, but today he finds the arena a little exciting – but you manage it really well," was the judges' opening remark.
”The trot is active, very elegant, elastic, and light-footed. Good half-passes, good extensions, and a good medium trot. The canter is active, and he really wants to go forward. He is rideable, and he stays with you and working with you. He has a lot of quality, and today you handle it very well in a friendly and good way.”
