Yesterday, as is tradition, we had our annual Christmas Show here at Helgstrand Dressage. 250 partners, breeders, and friends gathered to wish each other a Merry Christmas and, of course, to see a selection of our promising new stallions for the 2024 stallion collection.
And there were some truly exciting young stallions showcased – such as the winner of Danish Warmblood's 35-day test, Viva Vegas, the winner of the KWPN performance test Proud James, premium stallion in Westphalia Dynamic Dancer, and many more. The young stallions were presented according to their level of training, so there were presentations in hand, on the longe, and under saddle.
Below, you can see a selection of the stallions that were presented:
The following 5 young stallions were also presented:
Åtoftens Jabari by Jovian x Revolution x Zack
Åtoftens Jabari was selected for the Danish Warmblood stallion licensing 2024 during the pre-selection in December. He comes from an exciting pedigree with Jovian as the sire and Revolution and Zack on the dam's side. The World Champion for 5-year-old dressage horses (2019), Jovian, has had significant sporting success under Andreas Helgstrand with placements at both the European Championship and the World Cup. The dam sire Revolution is both a gold and silver medalist at the World Championships for young dressage horses and has had great success both in sports with Andreas Helgstrand, including victory at Grand Prix level, and in breeding, where he was awarded the title of elite stallion in Danish Warmblood in 2021.
UN by Vitalis x Fürst Romancier x Belissimo M
Another one of our promising young stallions, which was selected for the Danish Warmblood stallion licensing 2024 during the pre-selection in December. His sire Vitalis has been successful from a young age, winning the Dutch foal championship. At his approval in Westphalia, he was the reserve champion, and as a 5- and 6-year-old, he participated in the World Championships for young dressage horses under Marieke van der Putten and Charlotte Jorst, respectively. In 2016, he won Stallion of the Year at the World Championships for young horses in Ermelo with Isabell Freese, and the same year, he won the Nürnberger Burg Pokal final and the subsequent freestyle final with a score of 10.00. Vitalis is in the top 10 on the German dressage index with a score of 165, among the absolute top of all active breeding stallions. And his offspring's success speaks for itself, including Vamos Amigos, who won team gold for Denmark at the 2022 World Championships and individual silver medals in both the Grand Prix Special and the Grand Prix freestyle under Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour.
Dynamic Dancer by Dynamic Dream x Dresemann x Florestan I
Dynamic Dancer has recently been licensed in Westphalia, and at the same licensing, he was appointed a premium stallion. He is the offspring of our breeding stallion Dynamic Dream, who is a premium stallion in Danish Warmblood (2020) and the Champion Stallion in Westphalia (2019). His offspring are top-notch, with many selected for foal shows and stallion licensings both domestically and internationally. His dam sire Dresemann became Bundes Champion as a 3-year-old (2002), achieving the highest score ever at that time.
Veniro by Va Bene x De Niro x Wolkentanz II
Veniro was licensed in Westphalia in December. He has an exciting pedigree, including the premium stallion and Stallion of the Year in the Hanoverian Verband (2008) De Niro as his dam sire. De Niro has had great success both in sports with several victories and placements in international Grand Prix, and in breeding, where he is the sire of both World Championship and Olympic participants.
UN after Secret x Fantastic x Desperados
This young stallion has just been selected for the Danish Warmblood stallion licensing in 2024 during the pre-selection in December. He is the offspring of the sought-after breeding stallion Secret, who entered the breeding scene in 2017 and has since produced many successful foals both nationally and internationally. At the World Championships for young dressage horses in 2023, a quarter of the 5-year-old participants were by Secret. He has also had sporting success, including a silver medal at the World Championships for young dressage horses as a 5-year-old in 2019.
