Christmas show at Helgstrand Dressage

Yesterday, as is tradition, we had our annual Christmas Show here at Helgstrand Dressage. 250 partners, breeders, and friends gathered to wish each other a Merry Christmas and, of course, to see a selection of our promising new stallions for the 2024 stallion collection.

And there were some truly exciting young stallions showcased – such as the winner of Danish Warmblood's 35-day test, Viva Vegas, the winner of the KWPN performance test Proud James, premium stallion in Westphalia Dynamic Dancer, and many more. The young stallions were presented according to their level of training, so there were presentations in hand, on the longe, and under saddle.

Below, you can see a selection of the stallions that were presented:

Straight Horse Zarkozy by Zonik x Don Schufro x Lionell. Straight Horse Zarkozy was selected for the Danish Warmblood stallion licensing 2024 at the pre-selection in December. He comes from an exciting lineage, including Zonik DVH 1083 as the sire, who has achieved many impressive results with Edward Gal (NED). His dam is Bøgegårdens Don Romina, who was named the dressage mare of the year in Danish Warmblood in 2021. She is also the dam of the internationally acclaimed breeding stallion Sezuan, who is the only stallion ever to win the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses for 5, 6, and 7-year-old horses.
UN by Dynamic Dream x Quaterback x De Niro. This stallion was selected for the Danish Warmblood stallion licensing 2024 at the pre-selection in December. He is by our successful breeding stallion Dynamic Dream, who, in addition to being a premium stallion in Danish Warmblood (2020) and Champion Stallion in Westphalia (2019), also has offspring among the best in the world, with several foals sold at record prices and a large number selected for foal shows and stallion licensings. The dam sire Quaterback is also a top stallion with many impressive results, including Bundeschampion for 3-year-olds (2006), winner of his 30-day test, and he has consistently ranked high on the WBFSH Dressage Sire rankings. Among his most successful offspring is Quantaz (Isabell Werth).
UN by Dynamic Dream x De Niro x Fürst Heinrich. This beautiful stallion was also selected for the Danish Warmblood stallion licensing 2024 at the pre-selection in December, and he is another offspring of Dynamic Dream. His dam sire De Niro was a premium stallion and Stallion of the Year (2008) in the HANN and has numerous victories and placements in international Grand Prix. He is the sire of many successful offspring that have competed in both World Championships and the Olympics.
Straight Horse Leonardo by Lord Europe x De Niro x Zack - Mette Sejbjerg Jensen. Straight Horse Leonardo is a premium stallion in Danish Warmblood. He finished 2nd in the Danish Warmblood 35-day test in 2023 and is expected to be fully licensed in Danish Warmblood next year. His father, Lord Europe, was among the most popular at his licensing in the HANN also went directly to premium status at the Danish Warmblood licensing. He also received impressive scores for rideability and gaits in the Danish Warmblood 35-day test. In December, he achieved a fantastic 2nd place in the Nürnberger Burg Pokal Finals with Leonie Richter and won the small St. Georges Special freestyle.
Stay Cool by Secret x Don Darius x Escudo I - Maria Anita Andersen. Stay Cool comes from the famous Weltmeyer bloodline, which is also reflected in his impressive titles as a premium stallion in both HANN and Danish Warmblood. He achieved excellent scores in the Danish Warmblood 35-day test in 2023 and is expected to be fully licensed next year. His sire, Secret, achieved the best result in his performance test, won silver at the Bundeschampionat as a 3-year-old, and won the Bundes Championships as a 6-year-old. At the age of 5, he won silver at the World Championships for young dressage horses.
Roitaine O by Fontaine TN x Bordeaux x Johnson. Roitaine O was selected for the Danish Warmblood stallion licensing 2024 at the pre-selection in December. His sire Fontaine TN is approved in Westphalia. The dam sire, Bordeaux, was the champion stallion in KWPN (2009) and participated in the World Championships for young horses for 6-year-old dressage horses (2012). Alongside Eva Möller, he has achieved several Grand Prix victories, and since 2017, when Isabell Freese took over the reins, he has gained several international top placements in Grand Prix****. He has also been successful in breeding – notable is Bohemian, who with Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour won both silver and bronze at the European Championships in 2021, and at the Tokyo Olympics the same year, achieved an impressive 4th place.
Sénégal de Fontaine by Springbank II VH x Sezuan x Soprano - Pia Rosenstand Bak Thomsen. Sénégal de Fontaine's performance-strong pedigree combines the powerful lines of century-old stallions Donnerhall, Rubinstein, Ferro, and Sandro Hit. He achieved excellent scores in the Danish Warmblood 35-day test in 2023 and is expected to be fully licensed next year. The sire, Springbank II VH, who was the champion stallion in Danish Warmblood and winner of his 35-day test, won the Swedish young horse championship three times in a row, the Danish young horse championship twice, and as a 5-year-old, he achieved fifth place at the World Championships for young horses. His dam is the international Grand Prix winner Queenparks Wendy/Andreas Helgstrand. The dam sire, Sezuan, was world champion for young dressage horses at the ages of 5, 6, and 7, and has since been trained to Grand Prix level.
V-Power by Viva Gold OLD x Fidertanz x Show Star - Mette Sejbjerg Jensen. This exceptional young stallion is the champion stallion in Westphalia and became the most expensive stallion at the auction with a top price of 1.2 million euros. V-Power's sire, Viva Gold, is the great-grandson of Weihegold OLD/Isabell Werth, who has achieved numerous victories at the European Championships, the World Championships, and the Olympics. Viva Gold won his performance test superbly, won silver at the Oldenburg Championship, and qualified for the Bundes Championships twice.
Globall by Global Player x Fürstenball x Sandro Hit - Pia Rosenstand Bak Thomsen. Global Player – Fürstenball - Sandro Hit: Globall is the essence of the absolute best! Globall was awarded premium stallion at the Oldenburg licensing 2023 in Vechta and performed very well in the Danish Warmblood 35-day test in 2023. His sire, Global Player, has already had a successful career, including the title of world champion for young dressage horses at the age of 6 (2022) and a silver medal for 7-year-olds (2023). The dam sire, Fürstenball, was the champion stallion in Oldenburg in 2008, and based on his impressive first foal crop, he was named Hauptprämiesieger in 2010. In 2018, he was appointed Stallion of the Year in Danish Warmblood.
Viva Vegas by Viva Gold OLD x Rock Forever NRW x Florestan I - Mette Sejbjerg Jensen. Viva Vegas is the winner of the Danish Warmblood 35-day test in 2023 and is expected to be fully licensed in Danish Warmblood next year. He was awarded premium stallion at the DSP licensing 2023 in Munich-Riem, where he was also the spectator favorite. His sire, Viva Gold OLD, is the grandson of Weihegold, who, under Isabell Werth, gained great international recognition from the European Championship to the World Championship and the Olympics.
Proud James by Jameson RS2 x Johnson x Variant - Maxi Kira von Platen. The premium stallion Proud James is an extremely modern type with a large frame, an almost perfect movement pattern, and an impressive uphill tendency. In addition to being a premium stallion in Danish Warmblood, he is also licensed in KWPN and recently won his performance test in Holland. Proud James comes from the first foal crop after the stallion Jameson RS2. In combination with Everdale, his dam, Elite prok Cyraniek, has produced, among others, W-Horseland Inverness/Brecht D'Hoore/NED, approved in KWPN, and successful in small tour.

Åtoftens Jabari by Jovian x Revolution x Zack
Åtoftens Jabari was selected for the Danish Warmblood stallion licensing 2024 during the pre-selection in December. He comes from an exciting pedigree with Jovian as the sire and Revolution and Zack on the dam's side. The World Champion for 5-year-old dressage horses (2019), Jovian, has had significant sporting success under Andreas Helgstrand with placements at both the European Championship and the World Cup. The dam sire Revolution is both a gold and silver medalist at the World Championships for young dressage horses and has had great success both in sports with Andreas Helgstrand, including victory at Grand Prix level, and in breeding, where he was awarded the title of elite stallion in Danish Warmblood in 2021.

UN by Vitalis x Fürst Romancier x Belissimo M
Another one of our promising young stallions, which was selected for the Danish Warmblood stallion licensing 2024 during the pre-selection in December. His sire Vitalis has been successful from a young age, winning the Dutch foal championship. At his approval in Westphalia, he was the reserve champion, and as a 5- and 6-year-old, he participated in the World Championships for young dressage horses under Marieke van der Putten and Charlotte Jorst, respectively. In 2016, he won Stallion of the Year at the World Championships for young horses in Ermelo with Isabell Freese, and the same year, he won the Nürnberger Burg Pokal final and the subsequent freestyle final with a score of 10.00. Vitalis is in the top 10 on the German dressage index with a score of 165, among the absolute top of all active breeding stallions. And his offspring's success speaks for itself, including Vamos Amigos, who won team gold for Denmark at the 2022 World Championships and individual silver medals in both the Grand Prix Special and the Grand Prix freestyle under Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour.

Dynamic Dancer by Dynamic Dream x Dresemann x Florestan I
Dynamic Dancer has recently been licensed in Westphalia, and at the same licensing, he was appointed a premium stallion. He is the offspring of our breeding stallion Dynamic Dream, who is a premium stallion in Danish Warmblood (2020) and the Champion Stallion in Westphalia (2019). His offspring are top-notch, with many selected for foal shows and stallion licensings both domestically and internationally. His dam sire Dresemann became Bundes Champion as a 3-year-old (2002), achieving the highest score ever at that time.

Veniro by Va Bene x De Niro x Wolkentanz II
Veniro was licensed in Westphalia in December. He has an exciting pedigree, including the premium stallion and Stallion of the Year in the Hanoverian Verband (2008) De Niro as his dam sire. De Niro has had great success both in sports with several victories and placements in international Grand Prix, and in breeding, where he is the sire of both World Championship and Olympic participants.

UN after Secret x Fantastic x Desperados
This young stallion has just been selected for the Danish Warmblood stallion licensing in 2024 during the pre-selection in December. He is the offspring of the sought-after breeding stallion Secret, who entered the breeding scene in 2017 and has since produced many successful foals both nationally and internationally. At the World Championships for young dressage horses in 2023, a quarter of the 5-year-old participants were by Secret. He has also had sporting success, including a silver medal at the World Championships for young dressage horses as a 5-year-old in 2019.
