Pictured: Winner of the 2023 Danish Young Horse Championship, Quinn G. (Quaterhit/Fassbinder) and Betina Jæger.
They all qualified last year for the Danish Warmblood Young Horse Championship. The 47 best 5-year-old dressage horses have competed for the prestigious title. In the first and second rounds presented by their own rider and in the third round, Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour was responsible for the test riding.
Quinn G. has developed remarkably over the three days! She is one of a kind. A world-class dressage horse. Sired by former Helgstrand stallion Quaterhit out of Fassbinder and bred by Helene Geervliet. She received two-time the dream score of 10 from Cathrine. Quinn G. was presented by Betina Jæger.
Also, our Danish Warmblood Gold Medal Mare and winner of DEF’s Dressage Championship last year, Valerie B (Revolution/Zack, bred by Karin and Peer Guldbrandsen) received high marks and finished 2nd, presented by Anne-Mette Strandby Hansen. Moreover, Alkaline sired by Secret out of Zalmiak Firfod (bred by Anette Blangsted) came 3rd in the Danish Warmblood Young Horse Championship, presented by Merita Hagrén.
In the field of young horses, we have seen several horses sired by current or former Helgstrand stallions – and it just makes us proud to see, how they have developed into being fantastic dressage horses. And we are sure many will continue their positive development and one day enters the big sport.
Congratulations to the riders, breeders and owners of those lovely young horses!
