Danciero captured the silver medal

Following their win in the preliminary test on Thursday, Danciero 7 captured the silver medal with Eva Möller scoring 96.600% and a clear 10 for perspective. Danciero is by Dancier/Floriscount and co-owned with Deckstation Schockemöhle.

And no less than 4 Helgstrand horses are in the top 5 following the preliminary test at the 2021 World Championships for Young Horses in Verden, Germany.

Finally, we got to see the 7-year-old horses in action and what powerful performances we witnessed today. The clear favorite was the 2019 gold winner Jovian by Apache/Tango, who once again delivered a phenomenal ride with Andreas Helgstrand. They are doing well in the more difficult exercises which today’s achievement also reflected.

Marianne was right behind Andreas

Lately, Elverhøjs Raccolto (Sezuan/Sandro Hit) has developed wonderfully with Marianne Helgstrand, which the pair also showed today. In the pouring rain, they scored great points in a near flawless ride and placed 2nd.

Queenparks Wendy was the best mare

Andreas also competed the gold medal mare Queenparks Wendy (Sezuan/Soprano), whose gaits and perspective secured a fourth place and the honour of being the best mare of the day. She was closely followed by Eternity (Escolar/Sir Donnerhall) and his new rider Anne-Mette, who has taken over the reins from Cathrine Dufour. Eternity was a bit bothered by the rain and got a little tense during the otherwise impressive ride they delivered today.

Yesterday, the 2021 World Championships for Young Horses were kicked off with world-class riding. At the show, the world's best 5-, 6- and 7-year-old horses compete for the prestigious titles. On Wednesday, Mette Sejbjerg Jensen and the breeding stallion Suarez by Sezuan / Desperados entered the arena and placed 3rd in the 6-year-old preliminary test. Today, we once again enjoyed one phenomenal performance after another.

Eva Möller competed Danciero (Dancier/Floriscount) and Global Player (Kastel's Grand Galaxy Win/Don Schufro) in the 5-year-old preliminary test, both of whom showing enormous potential and near flawless rides. Danciero took the victory with no less than 9.66 points in total, including a 10 for canter and no score below 9.

We have found the winners in our latest ZyberRide event in Helgstrand & Zibrasport Equest Online Tour, where Anne-Mette Strandby Hansen and Moisés Jover Azuar have judged the tests.

The participants in Helgstrand & Zibrasport Equest Online Tour part 3 have been able to compete in two horse classes and two pony classes. It was Christina Karlsson on Treldegaards Sariccio, who with a nice result of 69,103 %, won the class and a Kingsland Relief Pad in Helgstrand Medium Tour1* (Horse), while it was Eva Kaersaa on Max Light, who made 69,444 % and won in Helgstrand Small Tour1* (Horse) and also got a Kingsland Relief Pad.

In Helgstrand Small Tour1 (pony) it was Mathilde Kragh Thaysen at Nørlunds Fergie who snatched the victory as well as a Kingsland haybag, socks and a pocket belt with 70,517 %. Mathilde Lill on the pony Noerlund's Lady Daniella won with 66,591 % in Helgstrand Micro Tour2* (pony), where the 1st prize is a Kingsland groom bag.

ZyberRide is created by Helgstrand Dressage and Zibrasport Equest, and the purpose of the online dressage platform is to give you the opportunity to supplement your training and physical competition activity with new online options. Last year, showjumper Lucas Virum was awarded the Helgstrand Grant. In his application video, he mentioned what the grant should be used for if he was to be the lucky winner: a training camp with our partner, Rolf-Göran Bengtsson.

From here, we will let Lucas describe the experience in his own words:

- I finally managed to go to a training camp in Germany with Rolf-Göran Bengtsson. Training with him was my big dream and luckily, I was able to go with the money I received from the Helgstrand Grant.

The experience was unforgettable in regard to riding, not to mention on a personal level. One has to look long and hard for a more passionate trainer. Rolf has such a positive energy and approach to horses and riders. He is most professional and really good at communicating his knowledge.

During my time there, I already experienced an improvement in my horse and myself. Now, I just have to continue working on the things we learned.

In addition to the experiences in the arena, it felt great to be a part of their entire setup. I was lucky to greet Peder and Malin’s Olympic horses from Sweden, when they stopped by for a rest and a little celebration with their grooms.

I wanted to make the most of my stay and decided to sign up for stable duties early in the morning. That way, I became a part of the team early on and had some really nice times with the staff.

Everyone at Stall Bengtsson is incredibly hospitable and friendly. We already agreed that I have to come back for more training. First, I just have to continue practicing what I learned there – at home in Denmark.

Once again, I want to thank Helgstrand Dressage for awarding me the Helgstrand Grant and for this incredible opportunity. THANK YOU!

Last year, Dominique Degueldre of France acquired two horses at Helgstrand Dressage and she has now added another horse to the collection, the 8-year-old Devonport by Dancier and Ravallo. He is stabled side by side with 7-year-old Quaterhit (Quatergold/Sandro Hit) and 7-year-old Don Vito De Hus (Don Juan de Hus/De Niro).

Dominique has a great partnership with her trainer, Stephanie Brieussel, who educates Quaterhit and Don Vito De Hus. Therefore, Devonport is intended for Dominique herself.

- I was looking for a Grand Prix horse for myself and I fell for Devonport right away as he has potential to get far in the sport but also has a temperament that suits me perfectly. He is incredibly uncomplicated to ride and already feels comfortable in the difficult Grand Prix exercises, which is perfect for me as I was looking for a horse to support my own development, Dominique Degueldre says.

Devonport has already settled in nicely in his new French home and Dominique will spend the next few months getting to know him better.

- You can feel that Devonport is an experienced gentleman. He did the trip in exalted calm and has already found himself at ease. Now, I will spend the next few months getting to know him and then we might have our show debut at the end of the year, Dominique adds.

During Dominique’s visit here at Helgstrand, we had to ask how things are going with Quaterhit. Last year, Dominique told us they had plans to debut him in small tour this year.

- I love that horse. He is so spectacular and he loves to show off when we bring him to competitions. My trainer recently competed him, scoring more than 70% in the Prix St. George, and at home he makes a good 15 tempies in a row. He's getting more and more cool and I'm just looking forward to the future with him, says Dominique, who also rides him a couple of times a week.

- My goal is to buy some of the world's best horses and educate them for Grand Prix in close collaboration with my trainer. Last time, I found exactly what I was looking for at Helgstrand, so I decided to inquire there once again.

Franklin (Ampére/Ferro) has produced an impressive number of high-quality offspring and two of them made quite an entrance at the Danish Warmblood regional show in Brønderslev, Denmark today.

They both passed their performance test and Champion of the 3-year-old mares was Fairy DWB by Franklin/Romantic with among others; 9 for trot and rideability and 8.5 for canter.

Faretti DWB by Franklin out of a Don Frederico mare became Champion mare of the 4-year-olds with among others; 10 for trot and 9 for canter, rideability and capacity. Faretti DWB was price highlight at the Nordic International Sales Auction.

Both horses were nicely presented by Mette Sejbjerg Jensen.

Each year in September the best mares and foals qualified at the regional shows gather at the annual Elite Mare and Foal Show, where they appoint the Foal and Mare of the year in Danish Warmblood.

Tonight, we finished the second Helgstrand-Schockemöhle International Online Auction with a selection of quality foals sired by Helgstrand and Schockemöhle's stallions. With a price of 36,000 euro, the Danish-bred Valverde/Don Schufro colt achieved the highest price of the auction and was sold to Ukraine. Gørklintgård's Victory is like his father in both exterior and gaits – a foal of rare quality. The dame, Gørklintgård's Fortuna, is also the dam of Gørklintgård's Quater Boy, who is extremely successful with Nanna Skodborg Merrald.

The second most expensive foal was sold to Sweden for 23,000 euro. Danseuse Etoile is by Danciero/Don Romantik - Danciero, who took home silver at the 2021 Bundeschampionate in Warendorf this past weekend. The dam of this magnificent foal is Die Sternschnuppe, who is the half-sister of the licensed stallions Schneefuß and Kilian (both sired by Sir Donnerhall I).

Third highest sales price was achieved by a Danish-bred Springbank II VH foal, which was sold for 23,000 euro to a well-known customer of Helgstrand, Vicky Lavoie. Vicky has acquired several promising foals at the auction. Kastaniegården's Charlie Brown (Springbank II VH/Ampére), who will go to Canada is sired by the triple Swedish Championship Winner and Danish Warmblood Champion Stallion, Springbank II VH with Ampére as damsire.

- Unfortunately, some technical issues caused some problems during the auction, which is deeply regrettable. But aside from this we are really happy with the auction, where 3/4 of the foals were sold. Once again, the customers represented several countries, which just shows that offspring sired by our stallions are much-coveted all over the world, says auction manager at Helgstrand Dressage, Esben Møller.
