5 top horses sold from Helgstrand Dressage
Helgstrand Dressage has just closed an exceptional deal; as we have sold five top horses to Sara Marburg from Germany. The German Grand Prix rider Anja Plönzke and the rest of the dressage team Marburg will be in charge of training the five horses and participating in shows. The deal concerns the following five horses:
- Marburg's Polka Hit, 12-year-old mare, silver winner at WCYH as a 6-year-old. Very successful in Small Tour, at both national and international shows. Winner of Grand Prix.
- Marburg's Stevie Wonder, 8-year-old gelding, on his way to Grand Prix.
- Marburg's Didando, 6-year-old stallion, finalist at DRF's dressage championship for 5-year-old horses, WCYH reserve for Holland in 2013.
- Marburg's Floricello, 6-year-old stallion, silver winner at WCYH as a 5-year-old, winner of Scandinavian Open for 5-year-old horses in Falsterbo.
- Marburg's Zardetto, 5-year-old gelding, finalist at DRF's dressage championship for 4-year-old horses, winner of ability test with 910 points.
We are extremely proud of this deal concerning sale of these top-notch horses to dressage team Marburg. Great results at national show in Hjallerup
The riders from Helgstrand Dressage have been at the national show at Hjallerup Rideklub almost all weekend. Friday afternoon, five of the riders started the MA2. Daniel and Capo Knight placed second with a nice score of 70.658%. Andreas and Tailormade Lancelot finished right behind as third, scoring 70.351%, Marianne and Sitana placed fourth with 70.157. Charlotte and Dankeschön, and Jens and Vilgot also started this class and finished just outside the placings.
The last class on Friday was Intermediare II. In this class, Helgstrand Dressage almost swept the board; Andreas and Darlings Dream won a clear victory with a score of 74.211%. Daniel and Versace came in second with 72.434%. Thomas and Angrib Firfod placed fourth with 69.474%.
Saturday morning, Marianne and Daylie started the MB2, they made a great performance and obtained 70.570%, finishing second in the class.
We received a lot of snow Friday morning, and due to the weather conditions, we decided Saturday afternoon, that it was too risky to transport the horses to Hjallerup; and consequently, we had to withdraw several horses in Grand Prix, Prix St. George and Intermediare I on Sunday morning.
In Sunday's Grand Prix Special, we were once again superior; Andreas and Darlings Dream took the lead again and won the class with the impressive score of 73.497%. Thomas and Angrib Firfod finished second with 71.438%. Finally, Severo and Meister finished third, scoring 67.778%.
Jens and Vilgot started MA1 in the afternoon, and their excellent performance was rewarded with 71.204%, which was enough to finish second in the class. Marianne and Sitana obtained 69.167% and finished third. Jens also placed fourth in the class with Atterupgaards Final Kiss, scoring 68.426%.
It was an excellent and well-organized show at Hjallerup Rideklub. It was obviously quite frustrating that we had to withdraw a lot of the horses due to the weather; however, the safety of the horses is of course our top priority.
Fennovanck PP at 35-day test
Fennovanck, who is now 4 years old, started Danish Warmblood's 35-day test yesterday. Fennovanck PP is by Uphill with Münchhausen as dam sire. We are crossing our fingers for a good test, and we hope that he will be licensed at Danish Warmblood's stallion show in March.

Oldenburger champion stallion to Helgstrand Dressage
Andreas has acquired the newly licensed champion stallion in the German Oldenburg Verband. At the stallion auction this afternoon, Andreas won the last bid, after a long bidding duel, for this striking champion stallion. The bidding for this desirable stallion went extremely fast, and Andreas did not get to bid until the price had reached € 700,000. The bidding continued and when the price reached € 900,000, Andreas took a deep breath and increased the bidding price by € 10,000, which was enough for the stallion to change owner, and this great stallion is now owned by Danes. The final price was € 910,000 - and Helgstrand Dressage is now the owner!
The 2 1/2 year-old stallion stood out from the first day at the licensing and is clearly in a league of his own with amazing gaits and superior conformation. Especially at the presentation in longe on Thursday, he showed suppleness, up-hill trot and canter. In addition, he has a great rhythmic walk. His pedigree is De Niro - Rosario - Feiner Stern, which does not make him less interesting as a future sire. De Niro is no. 1 on WBFSH's stallion ranking in dressage and has sired a vast number of licensed sons and several international top grand Prix horses.
He will be presented at the German Hanoverian stallion licensing in December.
Franklin - winner of performance test
Our 3-year-old stallion Franklin has just finished his 50-day performance test in Holland. He passed the test and finished as winner of the test with a very satisfactory result: 86.5 points. Franklin received e.g. 9.5 for canter, self carriage and balance, 9.0 for suppleness, rideability, attitude, and potential as a dressage horse. We are very proud of this excellent result, and we are, of course, very pleased to have the winner of Danish Warmblood's 35-day test as well as the winner of KWPN's 50-day test in our stables.
